Color

Dark strawberry red, with dark highlights and slightly brown reflections, intense mousse at the beginning.

Nose

The nose is noticeably fruitless and relies heavily on spice. Only faint notes of sweet cherry, strawberry, and some blueberry and blackberry are detectable. It displays nuances of fennel and coriander seed, some white pepper, and lovage. Juniper and cardamom contribute ample spice. The herbal side also picks up significantly, revealing marjoram, sage, and thyme. Green walnuts and pistachio make a subtle appearance.

Palate

It practically lives the word “leggero.” It dances lightly across the palate. The fruit remains lean and subtle, but comes into its own much more strongly. The spice of balsamic and ethereal elements is enormously appealing. The mousse lends it a touch of suppleness and balance. The interplay of mouthfeel and gripping acidity is convincing. Its aromas of roasted hazelnuts and walnuts are particularly striking, clearly defining the finish.
