A racy, taut red wine from the popular holiday island, which sits invigoratingly, juicyly, and delicately in the glass. The notes of red berries are reflected in the aftertaste. The Gorgollassa is characterized by a finely chiseled acidity. Drinkability, elegance, and finesse are guaranteed. It reveals its charm both chilled at 11-12°C and at 15-16°C.

Info

The indigenous grape variety Gorgolassa was almost completely forgotten. It was only officially permitted again in 2011. A group of dedicated winemakers on the island are now making a renewed effort to cultivate their traditional grape varieties. A godsend for the prudent Barbara Mesquida Mora. The 2019 bottling is limited to 1,111 bottles.

This rare Gorgollassa captivates with its enchanting aroma of small, tart berries. Red currant, raspberry, and sour cherries complement each other. Added to this is a vegetal scent reminiscent of blackberry bushes and mint. A hint of grain, in the form of buckwheat, also appears, adding further excitement to the nose. The fruit is underscored by a subtle lactic note, yet appears very harmonious and pure.
