Wine Information

Old Garnacha vines on a 500-meter-high vineyard with chalky soils called Pedra de Guix in La Figuera.

Colour

Transparent cherry red

Nose

The Cuvilà Garnatxa fina de La Figuera differs significantly from its sibling, Finesse. This wine is somewhat darker in colour and also in aroma. It is reminiscent of pickled cherries and blackberries with juniper, some warm yeast, warm forest floor, and dark chocolate, as well as herbs of Provence and a hint of cinnamon. This makes it a very charming nose.

Palate

On the palate, the wine is juicy and transparent with a lively acid structure characterized by typical chalky notes. The Cuvilà presents itself as almost taut, with fine yet firm tannins and a cool aftertaste. Here, too, Josep-Maria Anguera manages to keep the Garnacha at a modest 12.5% ABV, creating a straightforward wine that, in addition to the subtle sweetness of the extract, also displays subtle bitter notes in the finish.
