Wine Information
The 2021 BBHM is a Riesling Ortswein from Trapet in Beblenheim. Pierre and Louis’ great-grandparents planted around one hectare of Riesling on Jura limestone. Today, it is vinified in a concrete egg.
Colour
Medium, bright straw yellow
Nose
The Riesling with the abbreviation BBHM has a bright and clear aroma. It is clearly reminiscent of Amalfi lemons and a hint of citron, which combine with a hint of reduction, a certain smokiness, and plenty of limestone and herbs. White flowers with a very delicate sweetness lie above.
Palate
On the palate, the Riesling is characterized by a deep mineral vibration that combines perfectly with the ripe, lively acidity. An electric sensation immediately hits the tip of the tongue and lingers. This is further enhanced by the rich citrus fruit and crisp stone fruit. There’s also a salty note. The BBHM is powerful and insistent, yet also bright and fresh with a light spiciness.
