Description

Product description for Quinta de la Quietud La Mula 2017 Quinta de la Quietud, which translates as “the place of silence,” lies just two kilometers from the left bank of the Duero River in the DO Toro, at an elevation of almost 700 meters. Toro enjoys an extreme continental climate with annual temperature fluctuations of -11°C to +45°C. The quinta was founded in 1999. From the outset, the winery’s concept was an ecological one, aimed at producing such excellent grape quality that no additives were required until bottling. With its latest wine, La Quietud has even dispensed with sulfites during bottling. The wines are made exclusively from the estate’s own grapes from old bush vines that are fed by rainwater, tended by hand, plowed by horses, and have been certified organic since 2002. The winery rose to fame under Jean-François Hébrard and is now managed by Eusebio Sacristán.
