Product description for Heinrich Pinot Freyheit 2019 (bio)
Colour
Bright, sparkling ruby red
Nose
Heinrich’s typical reduction has an invigorating effect and creates the impression of a lean, racy type of red wine. It seems to be squeezed into a tight corset. With oxygen and time in a carafe or a large glass, the aromas become increasingly clear. Tart berries such as raspberry, currant, sour cherry, and cassis, in particular, vie for aromatic supremacy. This is supported by a fine herbal spice. Unusually, it boasts roasted aromas reminiscent of coffee beans.
Palate
Immediately precise and straightforward on the first sip. Pinot Noir for the advanced or the unbiased. The sour cherry fruit in particular leaves its mark on it. A great balance of juiciness, acidity, and a totally lean appearance. The astringency creates a lot of movement in the mouth, which greatly stimulates the flow of the drink. Light, digestible, and stimulating. With a noticeable minerality, it stretches out considerably. Even in the aftertaste, the berry fruits paired with red fruit tea and lovage linger on the palate for minutes.
