Product description for Hajszan Neumann Weissburgunder Ried Gollin 1.ÖTW 2022 (bio)
Wine Information
The grapes for this Pinot Blanc come from the “Gollin” vineyard, a vineyard on the Nussberg, located between the “Ulm” and “Rosengartel” vineyards. The soils on the Nussberg consist of limestone and shell limestone with a high clay content. Vineyard and Cellar: Like all vineyards, this one is cultivated according to biodynamic guidelines. The grapes were harvested and selected by hand, and carefully pressed after a maceration period of approximately six hours. The must, pre-clarified by settling, was fermented in large wooden barrels using natural yeasts. After a medium period of aging on the fine lees, the wine was carefully filtered and bottled. The wine has not been altered with any fining agents and is therefore not only vegan but also produced completely untreated according to the principles of Rudolf Steiner.
Colour
Shimmering medium golden yellow with distinct silver reflections.
Nose
The Weißburgunder Ried Gollin 1.ÖTW is extremely juicy. Ripe pears, honeydew melon, fragrant meadow flowers, a touch of anise and saffron, and candied almonds make up the opening. With a touch of oxygen, which it tolerates exceptionally well, it displays fine notes of sea breeze and mussel shell, giving it a Burgundian and complex feel. You’ll want to try it immediately!
Palate
Yeasty, creamy, and yet fresh, it glides across the tongue. An impression reminiscent of apple and pear skin imparts a fine spiciness and tannin. A wine that simply whets the appetite for more and accompanies hearty cuisine. Very good aging and development potential.

The 2022 Ried Gollin 1ÖTW Nussberg Weissburgunder has a clear, bright, fresh and energetic nose with notes of yellow and green apple. It is dense and fleshy on the palate, with salt but also phenols, and is pleasantly salty on the spicy finish. 13.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at Schloss Grafenegg, September 2023.

The 2022 Weissburgunder Ried Gollin Nussberg is between the Rosengartel and Ulm parcels on the Nussberg. It was fermented in various-sized used barrels. The nose has an overtone of honey that suggests full ripeness rather than botrytis. The palate is super-juicy with the ripest Mirabelle plums, absolutely framed by lemon. This compelling combination is backed by a fine texture of yeastiness, making this a textured, intense mouthful of wine. The 2022 is a Weissburgunder with quite some volume and verve. (Bone-dry)
