Product description for Corzano e Paterno Il Corzanello Bianco IGT 2024 (bio)Corzanello Bianco is a blend of Chardonnay, Trebbiano, Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Manseng, and Sémillon. The five white varieties are grown in the cooler areas of the estate. The grapes are harvested by hand and then chilled when brought to the winery. There, they are gently pressed whole, and the must is decanted for 24 hours. During fermentation, the temperature is controlled at between 15°C and 18°C. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is racked and aged on its fine lees for 4–5 months; no malolactic fermentation takes place. Bottled in March following the harvest.

Nose

The 2024 Il Corzanello bianco from Corzano e Paterno is a classic Italian white wine: fruity and lively, it is counteracted on the nose by herbal spices from the Tuscan maquis, reminiscent of laurel and rosemary blossoms in spring. Green stone fruit turns up the fruit dial, while delicate citrus notes add an additional polish. Despite the wild mix of varieties, it is a clear Tuscan thanks to its spicy backbone.

Palate

On the palate, too, Il Corzanello is a high roller with a stable performance. Juicy with a creamy texture and a rapid, tart finish, it satisfies the longing for Tuscany in the first rays of spring sunshine. An absolute crowd-pleaser and a blueprint for a Tuscan white with a strong heritage. Mild acidity, restrained fruit, and a delicately tart character with a bone-dry finish. That’s what white Tuscany should be.
