Product description for Schätzel Steiner Silvaner 2020 (bio)We’ve known Kai Schätzel since he was just beginning to shake up sleepy Nierstein. A Sylvaner made from ungrafted vines from the Rothenberg and Hipping. That was quite a statement. But his Rieslings have also been impressive from the start. Always a little different and surprising, but never forced. He was accepted into the VDP (Association of German Wine Producers) almost in record time and easily joined the ranks of the big names on the Rhine front, showing established estates new directions for the wines from the Roter Hang. Experimental, uncompromising, and a quality fanatic.
