This Riesling was produced with almost no intervention in the cellar.

Vine Information

Physiologically highly ripe Riesling grapes from our oldest vines were specially selected, briefly fermented intercellularly in amphorae, and aged on the lees for 18 months without intervention. No fining, no filtration.

Color

Bright, intense golden yellow.

Nose

The 2021 NUMEN Riesling has an intense aroma of ripe apples, citrus fruits, and exotic impressions reminiscent of mango and pineapple. Honey, candied ginger, and lemon balm complement the pronounced fruit. A wine that announces a very pronounced presence in terms of minerality, depth, and power even on the nose.

Palate

On the palate, it pleasantly attacks with a sweet and salty attack, without any residual sweetness. The lively acidity gets the saliva flowing, and the extremely long finish reveals, in addition to the pronounced minerality, a fine tannin whose spiciness whets the appetite for culinary accompaniment.
