Information about the sparkling wine

The Pinot Noir grapes were harvested early. In combination with the calcareous soils of the Isteiner Kirchberg, this resulted in a sparkling wine base wine with crisp, refreshing acidity. Half of the first fermentation took place in barriques with multiple openings, the other half in stainless steel. Tirage bottling took place in September 2021. After at least 34 months on the lees, the sparkling wine was disgorged in November 2023 and given a small dosage of 2 g/l.

Colour/Appearance

Brilliant golden yellow/lively and broadly scattered perlage.

Nose

The 20s Pinot Extra Brut presents itself with vineyard peach, bright red fruits, nutty hints, tree bark, noble mushrooms, and intense mineral and chalky notes, as well as herbal notes. Its nose is already complex yet minerally pointed.

Palate

On the tongue, it shines with nutty, yeasty notes, juicy fruit, and invigorating carbonation, which are wonderfully integrated into its juicy character. The perfect aperitif, with its salty note that is truly captivating and the perfect complement to savoury delicacies. A very nice addition to the exciting range!
