The 2022 Riesling Basalt is deep, intense and flinty on the precise and coolish nose that is mineral but also shows ripe and well-concentrated yellow fruit aromas intermingled with saline and vegetal notes. Fresh and vital on the palate, with juicy and savory fruit and zesty mineral acidity, this is a linear, fine and full-bodied dry Riesling with a serious grippy finish that reveals salts and fine tannins. 12% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in October 2024.
