Odinstal’s classical 2023 Riesling 120 N.N. needs some aeration to loosen its untamed nuances and show its coolish, clear and vegetal-scented bright fruit aromas that intermingle with green tea as well as wet stone or gravel aromas. The wine is elegant, round and refined yet still a bit untamed on the medium-weight palate that shows delicate fruit with elegant acidity and a stimulating mineral finish. The fur and stable notes on the nose and palate are discreet but may disturb wine drinkers that are less tolerant. They should disappear anyway with aeration. 11% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in October 2024.
