Wine Info

The Grillo grapes come from vines in Marsala that are over 20 years old, while the Zibibbo vines are over 30 years old. Volcanic terraces in Pantelleria and sandy loam in Marsala.

Vineyard Info

The Grillo & Zibibbo grapes from Pietranera and Grappoli are destemmed and gently pressed and macerated for 24 hours. Subsequent fermentation takes place at low temperatures with wild yeasts for 48 hours in stainless steel tanks. After a further 7 months of aging on its own lees in stainless steel, the wine is bottled.

Bright and sparkling golden yellow with silvery reflections.

Nose

Unpack the lounger by the pool and the sunscreen, the 2023 Sole e Vento has arrived. Summer, that’s also the scent we think of when we sniff the glass. Aromas of pineapple, ripe mango, oranges, and distinct orange and elderflower blossoms immediately put you in the holiday mood. But it’s by no means a fruit-driven wine; it also displays the finest notes of fennel, Mediterranean herbs, mussel shells, and anise.

Palate

Juicy, drinkable, and charming, it hits the tongue with a beautiful fruity sweetness accompanied by a subtle, tart citrus note. Spicy and refreshing, a wine to drink in large quantities on its own. Also a great accompaniment to fruity and aromatic summer cuisine.
