Information about the wine

This is a sparkling wine made from the grape varieties Donauriesling (75%) and Muscat (25%). The grapes were harvested by hand in 20 kg crates. Whole-bunch pressing followed. Some of the grapes were destemmed for mash fermentation. Fermentation took place spontaneously in steel tanks, and the wine was aged using the classic Ancestrale method with six months on the lees. Bottling took place in October 2023 and disgorged in June 2024.

Colour

Slightly yeasty, cloudy straw yellow with intense foam and light green reflections.

Nose

The Loimersche Pet Nat does not hide its Muscat content. The sparkling wine is pleasantly aromatic and fragrant with citrus fruits, ripe grapes, a touch of honeysuckle, nutmeg, and orange blossom, blending with notes of pear and apple pie, as well as a touch of apple peel and yeast.

Palate

On the palate, the sparkling wine appears completely dry and fresh with racy acidity, yeast and mellow apple and apple peel, a touch of orange and lemon curd, grapefruit, and lychee. The wine possesses tension and punch, offering a rich, lively, and serious feel without losing its down-to-earth Pét Nat character.
