Jérôme Galeyrand is one of Burgundy’s newcomers. He comes from the Loire and only found his way to Burgundy in the 1990s. After several years working on the wineries of Alain Burguet and Vincent Geantet, Jérôme acquired his first 0.05-hectare plot in 2001. It has since grown to 5.25 hectares. He owns no cru vineyards, but his vineyards are of the highest quality, especially in terms of the vines’ genetics, which he places particular importance on. Galeyrand’s vineyards have been certified organic since 2019. He practices intensive vineyard work so that he can then work very sparingly in the cellar. His goal is to achieve stylistic refinement and transparency as much as possible. Indeed, he produces wines that reflect his tranquil nature. These are quiet but lastingly impressive, fragrant, seductive red wines and precise, sober, and clear white wines with a high flow.
