Wine Information

This Coteaux Champenois is a single-varietal Pinot Meunier, of which only 190 bottles were produced. The wine was aged in clay vessels and barrels.

Colour

Œil de Perdrix, the eye of the partridge, represents the very pale pink of the white-pressed Meunier.

Nose

The Œil de Perdrix offers a very fine, restrained aroma, in which pencil shavings mingle with aniseed, a hint of cotton candy, lemon, and grapefruit.

Palate

On the palate, the Coteaux Champenois is ethereal, fresh, and very dry, with a noticeable tannic grip and a clear, distinctive acidity. Here, too, the citrus notes are in the foreground. However, there are also some crumbly apple notes, some honey wax, salt, and a touch of pepper. A very distinctive wine from Jérôme Blin.
