Colour

A rich golden yellow with delicate green inclusions lies in the glass.

Nose

Without being distracted by its chromatic name, it reveals noticeable aromas of currant and raspberry on the nose. These are accompanied by grapefruit, lemon, and a hint of cantaloupe. Its intense herbal scent is also characteristic. Lemon balm, sage, thyme, mint, and parsley are omnipresent. A hint of nettle rounds it off strikingly. A hint of white pepper and vegetal accents are only subtly present, but not insignificant for the overall experience.

Palate

The 2023 Roter Veltliner flows smoothly over the lips and immediately builds up pressure on the palate. Its fruit is diversely represented. From yellow to green to red. Mirabelle plum, melon, apple, lemon, and currant. It’s underpinned by a prominent melt, imbuing it with substance and well-being. The herbal spice provides freshness and that certain something extra.
