Colour
Bright straw yellow with golden to light inclusions
Nose
The aromas are rather soft and mellow. Pear, quince, and apple present themselves in all their facets, far from the acidity. Preparations of stone fruit of all varieties can also be detected. Dried apricot adds depth. Apple and linden blossoms lend it a delicate elegance. Green walnuts, walnut shell, almond, and marzipan provide striking nuances and character. Dried herbs serve as a contrast. Marjoram, thyme, and tarragon are clearly perceptible here.
Palate
A stable, unobtrusive Pinot Gris. It thrives on a good acid structure, which is rather rare for this grape variety. It lacks melting and is leaner than most of its relatives. The fruit here seems more restrained and rather pithy. Full of character in the fruit, yet subtle. Juicy and gripping, but never demanding. Pinot Gris for open-minded connoisseurs.
