A cuvée of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah from the Cement cuvée.

Nose

The 2019 Astralabe is a young, expressive Ventoux wine with notes of dark raspberries, hibiscus (including hibiscus tea), and some cassis, accompanied by a touch of blueberry yogurt and yeast, smoked meat, mint, and a hint of licorice. Added to this are cool, stony notes and a green olive marinated in herbs de Provence.

Palate

On the palate, the cuvée is light and cool, easy to drink. At the same time, the aromas are distinctly Mediterranean. Here you’ll find the typical Grenache licorice, herbs de Provence, green olives, some undergrowth, ripe raspberries, sloes, and plums. The tannins are fine-grained but present. The Astralabe offers its inner strength and grace alongside notes of cool rock and dried herbs. The finish is warm, while the acidity remains fresh and polished.
