Wine Information

This wine comes from grapes from friendly, organic and biodynamic farms with which Athenaïs de Béru has a long-standing association. The plots are cultivated and harvested by the Béru team. The vineyards are located in Saint Bris and the Côte Auxerre, two appellations not far from Chablis that also have Kimmeridge limestone in their soils.

Nose

The aroma of this 2022 Bourgogne Chardonnay promises pure energy. It is reminiscent of crushed limestone and chalk, herbs and lichens, limequats, lemons and zest with a hint of green apple, some peach and pear. Overlying notes are white flowers and a hint of patisserie.

Palate

The palate confirms the impression already offered by the nose. The wine is full of energy, chalky, cool, and powerful, yet not without charm. This is ensured by the fine, slightly creamy texture and a hint of nut and almond, as well as the salty character, which ensures easy drinking. Furthermore, this is a pure, slightly tart wine, reminiscent of citrus fruits and cider apples, full of life and a successful acidity, which, uncomplicated yet sophisticated, should ensure much enjoyment at the table.
