Info

Vinified like in the old days! Deep-rooted Austrian grape varieties from various vintages. Spontaneously fermented, partly as whole bunches, unfined and unfiltered. Patiently aged in wood. Dry with fresh acidity and vibrancy.

Colour

Dense purple with violet reflections and slight cloudiness.

Nose

The fruit is dense and dark in the glass. The transitions seem tightly woven, flowing from morello cherry to sweet cherry, cassis to raspberry, and blackberry to plum. The fruit appears crisp and fresh. Very balanced in relation to each other. Its name, Gluegglich Rot, corresponds to the first thoughts that come to mind when you hold this glass. Light herbal aromas – sage, mint, and oregano – offer only a slight counter to the loud fruit.

Palate

On the palate, it seamlessly connects to the emotions and thoughts of the nose. The fruit is juicy. Crisp and with a slight astringency, the first sips are like biting into a handful of fresh, cold berries. No tannin, hardly any bitterness to counteract this. It’s all about the fruit and the flow. The fruit completely transitions into red currant and sour cherry. Totally stimulating.
