Description
Product description for Zehnthof Luckert Sulzfelder Blauer Silvaner trocken 2024 (bio)
Information
The Blauer Silvaner is another historical variety of Silvaner, alongside the Green, Red, and Yellow varieties. All four varieties are grown in the Luckert vineyards. As usual, the Silvaner was aged in large oak barrels after a slightly extended aging period, spontaneous fermentation, and malolactic fermentation.
Color
Medium golden yellow
Nose
The Sulzfelder Blauer Silvaner has a wild and spicy aroma. Notes of apple peel, hay flowers, blue berries, blood orange peel, and grapefruit are found. Added to this are hints of dry wood, nuts, light tobacco, slightly damp rock, and a hint of lanolin.
Palate
The palate also reveals a spicy and primal flavor. It is a Silvaner that is dense and firm, juicy, and mouthwateringly salty. A timelessly beautiful wine with wonderful intensity, length and tension, which defines its character on the palate less through the fruit than through its texture and structure.
