Information about the Wine

The Valdemonjas winery is located in the so-called Golden Mile of Ribera del Duero, where the concentration of renowned producers is particularly high. Valdemonjas ranks among the region’s top wineries, even if the bodega’s style is somewhat different—the wines are more unvarnished and, despite their power, less over-the-top than the classic Ribera style. The winery maintains 7 hectares of organically cultivated vineyards located around the winery at an altitude of 740 to 780 meters and planted exclusively with Tempranillo vines. For their red wine “Los Tres Dones,” the grapes come from the highest plots with the most calcareous soils. The wine is fermented in concrete tanks, then aged in French oak barrels and finally in concrete tanks again.

On the nose, this red wine presents notes of black and red cherry fruit, which blend beautifully with the delicate spice of the oak aging. The bouquet is clean, precise, and superbly defined.

Palate

On the palate, the Los Tes Dones 2021 presents an excellent balance of primary and secondary notes, with juicy fruit and well-integrated oak notes. Despite its powerful body, it is an elegant, juicy, and fresh red wine, with fine-grained tannins, complex aromatics, and an invigorating length.
