Dark, luminous cherry red with violet reflections

Nose

This international Priorat cuvée made from Cariñena, Garnacha negra, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon displays typical characteristics of its origins and style. Black olive, pepper, juniper, rosemary, and thyme provide clear evidence of its Mediterranean origins. A hint of leather, car tires, and musk deliver distinctive, animalic nuances. Plum, blackberry, and dark cherries provide plenty of flattering fruit. A hint of chocolate and violet is subtle in the background.

Palate

On the palate, it is surprisingly cool and dark. It doesn’t seem at all heavy or overly concentrated. Quite the opposite. The slate spice has a calming effect and exudes plenty of elegance. It thrives on a fine minerality. The fruit is incredibly juicy and stimulating. The acidity kicks in promptly, seemingly giving it “wings.” It now seems even lighter than before. The dark and spicy notes fade into the background. A fine tannin framework lends it structure and creates sensory contrasts on the palate.
