Information

This wine is made from 100% Sangiovese. The vines are located near the winery in Radda, with Galestro soils (calcareous marl with a high skeletal content). The Sangiovese was fermented in stainless steel, cement, and open wooden vats for 40 to 60 days, with a proportion of around 40% whole bunches. It then aged for 18 months in stainless steel and cement.

Nose

The Chianti Classico 2021 offers a magical nose of red and black berries, as well as cherries, pansies, lavender, and violets, with a hint of leather and spices. You’ll want to bathe in this wine; it’s so fragrant and seductive, so very “Chianti.”

Palate

On the palate, the wine conveys the essence of Chianti Classico. The historically good vintage contributes to this. It is a crystal-clear, precise wine that is juicy, crisp, and fresh, yet ripe and aromatic. The full energy rises from the glass, and nothing stands in the way of the pure fruit. It is guided by brilliant acidity and chalky tannins, complemented by a note as if a stone from the Colline Metallifere had been lying in the barrel. It is an excellent Chianti Classico in every respect.
