Wine Information

The deep sandy soils of the Steinbach Fürst vineyard are predestined for Gelber Muskateller (Yellow Muscat). Late-harvested grapes combined with slow aging bring finesse and delicate spiciness. After natural spontaneous fermentation, the wine is aged for 18 months on the fine lees in steel tanks.

Colour

Light, radiant golden yellow.

Nose

What a seductive aroma fills the nose with the 2020 Steinbacher Fürst Gelber Muskateller (Yellow Muscat). Lime, wild mint, lemongrass, and yellow fruit notes of apricots, mirabelle plums, and ripe mango practically dance the round. The whole is underpinned by robust spiciness and a captivatingly beautiful mineral intensity. What a brilliant opening!

Palate

It is razor-sharp on the palate, with refreshing citrus notes paired with fine tannins and a saline touch. Drinking is immediately stimulated, with an invigorating lightness of only 12% ABV. At the same time, it displays a complex depth that is unparalleled. A perfect accompaniment to creative and spice-intensive cuisine.
