Colour

Elegant mother-of-pearl with silvery reflections.

Nose

The 2022 Rosafaden has a fresh, cool aroma of red fruits, rose hips, blossoms, and a subtle hint of meadow herbs and thyme. An elegant and restrained opening to a very delicate rosé.

Palate

On the tongue, it captivates with its freshness, delicate fruit, and fine piquant spice. The perfect wine to enjoy on its own, also due to its moderate alcohol content of 10.5% vol., or in combination with light snacks and delicacies.

“Lemberger in hell” is what Olympia Samara and Hannes Hoffmann call their pale-colored, slightly cloudy Lemberger rosé 2022 Rosafaden from shell limestone soils. The wine needs some air, then opens with delicate, ripe, even fleshy red fruit and some floral nuances. Round on the palate, with a supple, slightly yeasty texture, the Rosafaden finishes light and dry, with a fine tannic structure. Moderate 10.5% stated alcohol. Biodynamic production in conversion to Demeter. Diam cork. Tasted in June 2023.
