Wine Information

30 hectares of vineyards, spread across 17 plots near Jouques, located around 30 kilometers north of Aix-en-Provence under the protection of the Montagne Sainte-Victoire, belong to Château Revelette. PUR Blanc 2022 is a cuvée of 60% Ugni Blanc, 25% Carignan Blanc, and 15% Rolle. After hand-harvesting, the Ugni Blanc and Carignan Blanc were directly pressed at 20°C, the Rolle was crushed, and macerated in the Ugni Blanc juice for four weeks, with daily punching down. The wine was aged in egg-shaped tanks on the full lees. The wine was not racked and bottled without the addition of sulfites.

Nose

The PUR Blanc smells of lightly caramelized nuts, thyme, lavender, and jasmine with a hint of hay. The fruit is reminiscent of quince, ripe pears, and apples with their skins, as well as a hint of orange. The wine is dense and ripe, slightly tart and creamy with a subtly cool note. You expect a mouthful of wine.

Palate

This expectation is confirmed on the palate. This is a juicy, mouth-filling specimen that, thanks to the extended maceration time, offers plenty of tannin, but not too much. The PUR Blanc appears exceptionally fresh, and its acidity is precise and lean. Alongside the clear fruit, characterized primarily by green and yellow apples and lemons, the wine appears salty and taut. The sweetness hinted at in the aroma is absent here. The wine is dry and clear with a salty finish.
