Wine Information

30 hectares of vineyards, spread across 17 plots near Jouques, located about 30 kilometers north of Aix-en-Provence under the protection of the Montagne Sainte-Victoire, belong to Château Revelette. This is where the 2010 Rouge is produced. It is a blend of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, along with smaller amounts of Grenache, Cinsault, Counoise, and Carignan. The grape varieties were harvested separately and fermented at 25 to 27°C for around 25 days, with around 60% whole bunches and aged in used barrels.

Colour

Intense garnet to purple red

Nose

The 2021 Chateau Revelette Rouge is a dark, spicy wine with notes of sloe, plum, and blackberry, with plenty of black olives, herbs, and rock. The wine still appears restrained and cool with spicy tobacco, wood, and stallion.

Palate

On the palate, this is also a spicy, tobacco-like wine with notes of sloe and black olives. At the same time, the Revelette appears juicy, yet also tart with firm tannins. The wine needs plenty of air to develop and become smooth.
