Wine Information

This champagne comes from vineyards on the threshold of the Marne Valley and the Montagne de Reims. The sites in Cuchery, Baslieux, Leuvrigny, Troissy, and Mareuil-le-Port are characterized by calcareous clay and alluvial soils. The cuvée consists of 87% Pinot Meunier and 13% Chardonnay. The wine was aged partly in stainless steel and partly in oak. The proportion of reserve wine is 45%. The wine was disgorged on November 28, 2022, with 1.9 g/L dosage.

Colour

Platinum yellow, fine mousse.

Nose

The nose of the Cuvée Irizée is particularly fine and balanced. It’s reminiscent of lemons, grapefruits, and blood oranges, peaches and nectarines, but also cassis and crumbly apple. Added to this are hints of shortbread and bread crust, some rock and herbs.

Palate

The palate reveals a moderately powerful structure combined with a pleasant, straightforward acidity. Here, too, one finds the blend of citrus, white, and dark aromas, complemented by a hint of passion fruit, salted lemon, and lemon curd. Indeed, the texture is creamy, creating a successful balance with the fresh acidity and minerality.
