Description
Régis Poissinet is one of those winegrowers who come from a Champagne winegrowing family that has never attracted attention in its history. With the first champagnes from Régis and his son-in-law David, this should change abruptly. Their champagnes, which are produced on the border between the Vallée de la Marne and the Montagne de Reims, inspire with an impressive precision and finesse. The basis for this is probably not only the elaborate biodynamic vineyard work, but also the time they give the wines. For the Cuvée Irizée Meunier it is eight years, for the Cuvée Irizée Chardonnay six and for the Cuvée of both varieties, the Non-Vintage Terre d’Irizée, also six years. The base wines are mostly matured in wood and undergo malolactic fermentation. The wood influence is very subtly noticeable and brings additional elegance to these great champagnes.
