Description
The Quinta de la Quietud is located just two kilometres from the left bank of the Duero River in the D.O. Toro on a hill of almost 700 metres. Toro offers an extreme continental climate with annual temperature fluctuations from -11°C to +45 °C. The Quinta was founded in 1999. From the beginning, the concept of the winery was an ecological one, which should lead to such a good quality of grapes that they could do without any additives until the wines were bottled. With their latest wine, La Quietud even does without sulphur during bottling. The wines are made exclusively from their own grapes from old bush vines, which are fed by rainwater, tended by hand, tilled by horses, and have been certified organic since 2002. The winery became famous with Jean-François Hébrard and is now run by Eusebio Sacristán.
