Vine Information

It matures for approximately 2.5 years in large, old wooden barrels and is bottled on a fruit day.

Intense golden yellow with delicate silvery highlights towards the rim.

Nose

The 2019 Im Weingebirge Grüner Veltliner Smaragd impresses with dense fruit reminiscent of ripe mirabelle plums, apricots, and oranges, underpinned by an invigorating honey spice, malty components, a hint of cedarwood, and a variety of wild herbs such as nettle, thyme, and rosemary. It demands a carafe to fully reveal its beauty.

Palate

Powerful and captivatingly dense, it floods the palate. Alongside the juicy yellow fruit on the nose, it reveals a peppery and distinctive spice that both provides structure and immediately awakens a desire for spicy and savoury dishes.
