Wine Information

The Odyssée is a single-varietal Pinot Noir from Guillaume Sorbe. The fruit comes from plots in Reuilly with vines planted on predominantly clayey-limestone soils, but also on soils with pebbles and red sand. The Pinot was produced from whole bunches with spontaneous fermentation and minimal extraction and aged for three years in used 400- and 600-liter barrels. Since the 2018 vintage, the Odyssée has been declared a Vin de France (Christoph Raffelt).

Colour

Light, translucent cherry red with distinct violet reflections.

Nose

The 2020 Odysee presents itself as a Pinot Noir full of finesse and elegance, with small red berries, sour cherries, a hint of rosehip, and cassis. With some oxygen exposure, notes of light tobacco, tree bark, leather, and delicate hints of pepper emerge.

Palate

The red fruity aroma of the nose reappears on the tongue, underscored by subtle spice notes and the piquant grip of its fine tannin structure. The elegant presence of this Pinot Noir is astonishing. Enjoy decanted from large glasses; oxygen enhances it even further!
