Wine

The Chardonnay vines for Latitude (formerly Tradition) come from the somewhat flatter, warmer southern vineyards of Vertus. Latitude is a cuvée of wines from up to six vintages. It is aged sur lattes for 24 months, disgorged, and receives four grams of dosage.

Nose

The Blanc de Blancs from Vertus presents itself from its bright, clear, and herbaceous side. Even on the nose, the Latitude appears completely dry, chalky, and citrusy, with fruit reminiscent of white strawberries. Above all, however, it is the herbs and a slightly tart scent of tonic water that play the main role here.

Palate

On the palate, the Latitude is extremely precise, clear, and pure. It is exactly what you would expect from a young Blanc de Blancs from the chalk. At the same time, a certain richness, as the English would put it, is also noticeable.
