Description
Our discovery in Baden – the small Demeter winery of Klaus Vorgrimmler. As one of the organic pioneers in South Baden, Klaus Vorgrimmler has been producing organic wines for 30 years. When he started to turn his back on conventional viticulture, it was more than courageous and involved a lot of risk. There was hardly any experience. The motto was learning by doing. This long experience is now his great advantage. Klaus Vorgrimmler is not easily rattled by anything. With him, everything seems to follow a different rhythm. Everything radiates calm and composure. His wines ferment spontaneously, are not fined or filtered, and are only minimally sulphured. The reds are aged in barriques for 18 to 24 months. This results in wines with finesse and power in equal measure: never fat, never trivial, which always make you want to take the next sip.
