Product description for Jimenez – Landi Vino Naranja, Orange Wine, Vinos Singulares 2022 Just 15 years ago, the vineyards around Madrid, as well as in Méntrida and the Sierra de Gredos, some of which are ancient, were largely unknown territory. This has changed dramatically, not least thanks to the commitment of cousins José Jiménez-Landi and Daniel Gómez Jiménez-Landi. Although the Jiménez-Landi family founded the winery in 1963, it has only been run professionally since 2004. Back then, the cousins produced wines primarily in the Parker style. Only over time has the style become more refined and Burgundian. Today, José produces red wines of tremendous freshness, finesse, and minerality. Dani Landi left the winery in 2013 to pursue other projects. Today, it is known that Metrida produces some of the world’s best Garnachas. You wouldn’t know it from the colour, which is sometimes more reminiscent of Claret or Rosé, but the complexity is captivating.
