Wine Information

This champagne comes from a complantation, a mixed vineyard planted in Vincelles in the 1970s. It consists of 90% Meunier, as well as Petit Meslier, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Gris. It is the 2022 vintage with a base wine aged in barriques. Tirage took place in March 2023, and disgorgement in April 2024 without dosage. 2,925 bottles.

Colour

Very light rosé, fine perlage.

Nose

Les Ports opens with light hints of smoke and licorice combined with lemons and lemon zest, mellow apples, some green stone fruit, and crisp red berries. Added to this are notes of lightly toasted breadcrumbs and brioche with almond cream. With aeration, hints of crushed limestone and graphite become apparent.

Palate

On the palate, the Gemischter Satz is fresh, energetic, and unobtrusively fruity. It is reminiscent of peaches, apricots, yellow plums, greengage, lemons, and a hint of pomegranate. Also beautiful is the power that the champagne combines with a clear acidity and a lively, beautifully egg-bound perlage. It is a pure, tonic, energetic champagne.
