Colour

Radiant, sparkling cherry red with violet highlights.

Nose

It appears absolutely elegant and soft. Not of southern warmth, but rather a spicy, Burgundian finesse. The delicate fruit appears noble and polished. Sour cherry, morello cherry, elderberry, and raspberry duel with each other. The fruit is always compact and never overly striking. It is accompanied by a very successful combination of spice and earthiness. A hint of cold smoke pairs with the impression of wet rock. Topsoil in the best sense of the word. Abundant dried Mediterranean herbs such as sage and oregano are noticeable. White pepper, juniper, and allspice add a final touch.

Palate

And this impression is effortlessly transferred to the palate. It is robust, juicy, and cool at the same time. Its stony, mineral components, paired with spice and earthiness, lend it an enormously elegant appearance. Its fine mineral structure is exemplary and palpable. The dried herbs are particularly distinctive. Sage, oregano, tarragon, and rosemary nail the palate. A touch of allspice and juniper are also excellently evident here. The fruit presents itself similarly to the nose, but is complemented by an earthy-sweet beetroot.
