The Huré Frères winery traces its origins to Georges Huré, born in 1911, who passed the estate on to his sons Raoul, Marc, and Jean Marie. Today, Raoul’s sons François and Pierre cultivate the 10 hectares, located primarily in the 1er Cru communes of Ludes and Ville-Dommange in the Montagne de Reims. Eight hectares are planted 50% each with Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, and two hectares with Chardonnay. Huré’s base wines do not undergo malolactic fermentation. They possess a sharp fruitiness, are lean and precise, and strike a balance between a pleasant austerity and generosity. In addition to the classic Brut Invitation, the brothers produce a Blanc de Blancs, a rosé, vintage champagne, and Mémoire, an extra brut from a solera begun in 1982. The 4 Éléments series currently produces three single-varietal vintage parcel wines, each of which is aged in tonneau.
