When the Bodegas Habla winery was founded, the families who own it set the ambitious goal of competing with the best wines from the Rioja and Ribera del Duero regions. The sometimes very barren soils and the extreme climate of the Extremadura plateau provide the ideal conditions for this. The region is one of the oldest wine-growing regions in the world and experienced its first heyday under Roman rule, which later faded somewhat under Moorish influence. Due to the long drought periods in the summer months, the vines are forced to plant deep roots, absorbing minerals and thus character from up to ten meters below the surface, resulting in complex and profound wines.

The top of the range is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Petit Verdot fermented in barrel that goes under the name of 2015 Esencia. It also went through malolactic and 14 months élevage in those same French oak barrels. It follows the house style, clean nose with ripe fruit without excess, plenty of spicy and creamy oak and a soft palate with some tannins and flavors. This looks very much like its siblings. 1,300 bottles were filled in June 2017.
