Description
Dr Georg Meißner is one of the most important scientists and advisors when it comes to biodynamic viticulture. His research takes place on site and very concretely in the vineyard, but also in a long-term series of experiments at the Geisenheim University and Research Institute. During his apprenticeship as a winegrower, he got to know and love the Roussillon. In the course of time, he acquired two vineyards there that would otherwise have fallen victim to clearing. He lives with his family in South Tyrol, where he worked for Alois Lageder, among others. He is a regular at Roussillion, but he works closely with Flo Busch, who manages his vineyards. The cellar is also shared. The preservation of the over 100-year-old Carignan and Grenache vineyards and the wine produced from them is and remains an absolute passion.
