Product description for Foradori Fuoripista Pinot Grigio Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2023 (bio)Fuoripista is an exceptional Pinot Grigio. It is the result of a collaboration between Foradori and Marco Devigili, a biodynamic winemaker from Campo Rotaliano. Fuoripista is designed to express the true essence of the variety and of Trentino, the home of this widespread grape variety. Grown on the alluvial and gravelly soils of Campo Rotaliano, it was harvested by hand, fermented spontaneously, and left on the skins for eight months in tinajas (amphorae), which perfectly enhances the delicate character of the Pinot Grigio. It was then aged in used acacia barrels before being released. Average annual production is 10,000 bottles.

Transparent, light cherry red, bright and limpid.

Nose

The 2023 Fuoripista from Vigneti delle Dolomiti Foradori greets you with joy and openness, chattering of red apple skins, green almonds, and tart fruits like rosehips and cranberries. Clearly defined, it combines the aromas into a crystal-clear accord, as fresh as the downdrafts in Mezzolombardo. Straightforward and precise, everything is in the right place; nothing wobbles or appears indecisive. The fruit remains the understated prompter of the performance, while aging and terroir are the main characters.

Palate

The first sip is silky with a transparent texture and fruity-tart aromas. The structural parameters are the fine tannins, which wrap themselves tightly around the tongue like silk, while the fruit appears only in the extract as an aromatic top note rather than as a leitmotif. A contemporary interpretation that proves that this well-known variety can also score points through terroir and texture, rather than just striking fruit. Rich in extract, tart, and exhilarating.
