Product description for d’Ouréa Vacqueyras blanc AOC 2023 (bio)
Wine Information
The Vacqueras Blanc comes from a small 0.3-hectare plot planted in 2011. It is an east-facing slope with blue and yellow clay soils. The wine is a blend of 80% Clairette and 20% Bourboulenc. After hand-harvesting, the whole grapes were directly pressed, spontaneously fermented, and aged in concrete tanks for six months.
Color
Intense golden yellow
Nose
Adrian Roustan’s Vacqueras Blanc is a fragrant, sensual white wine from the Southern Rhône, reminiscent of fresh orange zest, blossoms, pears, Cox’s orange, and quince, accompanied by nuts and almonds.
Palate
On the palate, the Vacqueras is elegant, creamy, and as sensual as the nose suggests. Here, you’ll find notes of the aforementioned fruits, a subtle use of wood, kumquat, a hint of honey, and piquant hints of zest and spices. A mature southern white wine between warm fruit and a fine minerality.
