Wine Information

The 1.3-hectare VDP Erste Lage Burg Layer Schlossberg vineyard is characterized by heavily weathered red slate soils. Gentle pressing of the grapes. Fermentation and aging with natural yeasts in multi-year-old barrels from local oak forests.

Colour/Appearance

Light golden yellow with distinct green reflections.

Nose

The 2023 Riesling Burg Layer Schlossberg Erstes Gewächs presents itself with an extremely delicate and elegant nose. Cool slate notes, smoky hints, as well as lime and green apple, emerge clearly from the glass. With the necessary oxygen, fragrant floral notes and herbal nuances emerge.
