Product description for Clemens Krutzler CK Rosé 2023

Wine Information

Rosé made from 100% Blaufränkisch from a 20-year-old vineyard in the Ratschen vineyard with sandy, iron-rich clay soil. The maceration takes place in the press for two hours. The juice then flows directly into used 500-liter barrels, ferments there, and remains in the barrel on the full lees for eight months. 1,500 bottles are produced.

Colour

Deep rosé, similar to a Claret.

Nose

This rosé already appears firm and grippy on the nose, with plenty of sour cherry, red currant, currant stalks, a touch of rock, and earth. It is a cool, serious wine.

Palate

This cool and serious character is also evident on the palate. There, the CK Rosé is taut and juicy, crisp, red-berry, slightly salty, robust yet round with a light melt. This is a pleasantly distinctive wine with plenty of freshness and crisp acidity.
