Info

The Dolcetto grapes come exclusively from our own vineyards and grow on very old formations of calcareous to clayey soils, ranging in colour from light gray to pink. Veins of pebbles, calcium carbonate, and iron also appear repeatedly. The wine is vinified 100% in steel tanks to preserve its fruit and freshness.

Colour

Dark, luminous ruby red with light reflections.

Nose

The 2022 Dolcetto d’Alba skillfully combines abundant dark fruit with balsamic spice. That may sound dense and powerful, but that’s not what it’s meant to be. Fruit and spice are wrapped in a delicate, cooling coat. Sweet cherry, elderberry, raspberry, and blackberry appear generous and expansive, yet always on the light side. This is mingled with a subtle spice of juniper and mixed pepper. Leather and a touch of cedarwood seem perfectly integrated here. Cocoa butter and a hint of milk chocolate round it out wonderfully.

Palate

As expected, it brings its delicacy and elegance to the table. Juicy, fine fruit that always stands lean and taut in the glass. Acidity and fine tannins dance around the fruit. Its spicy nuances emerge perfectly and repeatedly. Invigorating, appealing, and uncomplicated. A wine for everyone, with everything, always.
