Product description for Château de Pibarnon Château de Pibarnon Rouge AOC 2011 Provence is certainly not short of stunningly beautiful locations. But anyone who has ever visited Château Pibarnon in the Bandol appellation knows the magic of this winery and its terraced vineyards, from which one can see the nearby Mediterranean. In 1989, Eric de Saint Victor took over management of the estate from his father and developed it into one of the finest in Provence. A qualified biologist, he runs the winery organically using biodynamic methods. Five wines are produced in the old cellars: a rare Bandol Blanc and the wines for which the appellation is world-famous: Bandol Rouge and Bandol Rosé, each vinified as a Vin de Garde made from 100% Mourvèdre, as well as cuvées that open much earlier.
