Information

This Marsannay follows in the tradition of the village of Marsannay, the only one on the Côte d’Azur where large quantities of rosé have been produced for a long time. The Pinot was pressed after a short maceration period and aged in stainless steel and conical acacia wood vats.

Nose

This Marsannay Rosé – a first for Yann Charlopin – hints at its class and finesse with subtle notes of red berries, grapefruit, and a hint of white peach. The fruit is accompanied by a splash of rhubarb juice, a hint of vanilla, very subtle wood, and crushed stone.

Palate

On the palate, the Pinot shows class and elegance, with a balanced structure between a light tannin and lively acidity. The fruit here is also juicy, fresh, and bright. It is dominated by red berries and grapefruit. A subtle vanilla note is also present here, which pairs very well with the creamy texture of the wine. You can already tell that this is Pinot Noir, albeit one with a white wine texture. It leads to a silky, slightly mineral, juicy, fresh, and impressively long and delicious finish.
